Biography
I am a flute and piccolo player and educator based in Appleton, Wisconsin. I have earned my master's degree in music performance from the University of New Mexico, where I earned a graduate assistantship, studying with professor of flute Valerie Potter. I received my bachelor's degree in music performance from Butler University, studying flute with Karen Moratz.
I teach flute and piccolo lessons to students of all ages, and have taught both private lessons and sectionals around the country.
I have performed in the orchestra for the ballets The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Giselle, and the operas Mabel's Call, Cosi fan Tutte, Pirates of Penzance, Suor Angelica, Trouble in Tahiti, and more.
During the COVID-19 pandemic I started a business creating masks designed specifically for instrumentalists, including a unique mask just for the flute.
Since moving to Wisconsin in 2021 I have performed with the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, the Wisconsin Symphonic Winds, the Appleton East pit orchestra, and the Appleton North Choir Orchestra.
In 2023 I was appointed to the position of Lecturer of Music in Flute at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and as a private instructor at the Lawrence Community Music School.
